The Review of Indistinct Pulse and Weak Pulse

Abstract
An Introduction to Medicine has been widely read as a text for sphygmology teaching in Korea since the middle of the period of the Yi Dynasty. In this book, explaining the shape of pulse feeling on indistinct pulse and weak pulse, there is a vague difference in meaning between An Introduction to Medicine and The Book of the Pulse which is first given a comprehensive survey of pulse feeling.
An Introduction to Medicine says; ¡°Indistinct pulse ceases to stop like a spider¢¥s thread and weak pulse is extremely feeble as if it is going to disappear.¡± In addition, The Book of the Pulse says; ¡°Indistinct pulse is not only very thin, soft and weak but also extremely feeble as if it is going to disappear, and weak pulse is very weak, soft, thready and deep while pressing thard.¡±
Summing up, this will come to the following result that indistinct pulse in The Book of the Pulse is put together with indistinct pulse and weak pulse in An Introduction to Medicine. Having errors in the contents of the text such as An Introduction to Medicine, to be widely read in Korea, there is nothing for it but to make an error in diagnosis and in treatment as well. Consequently, this study is to examine closely the 22 books that I intend to range over in order to distinguish indistinct pulse from weak pulse accurately.
